5/10 Athletics Update
Three EPS Track athletes moving on to Districts!
The EPS Track team killed it at that Emerald City League Championships yesterday! Not only did we set lots of PR’s, but Halle ’19 won the javelin, Maren ’19 came in 2nd in the javelin, and Garrison ’19 came in 2nd in the shot put. The boys and girls 4X100 relay came into the final exchange in last place, but improved to 3rd and 4th respectively in the final straight—very exciting moments! Colin ’21 advanced to the finals in the long jump and won his 100m heat, while Sydney ’21 crushed her 800m event and set a new EPS school record (2:39). Congratulations to the entire EPS track team on a fantastic season and good luck to Halle, Maren, and Garrison at the District Championships next week!
