5/10 Eagle Athletes Of The Week
Nathan led the team in goals with 3 scores and was one of the team leaders for assists against Seattle Academy. Assists are often harder to come by for a cutter since they tend to be downfield receiving passes rather than distributing it forward themselves. This is also even more impressive for Nathan with the form he’s struggled with at points in the last few games, but he’s has worked extremely hard and it has paid off! Congratulations Nathan!
Despite being down with a cold, Garrison killed it at the track meet last Friday and at the Emerald City League Championships yesterday. This season Garrison has set new EPS records in the Shot Put (39′ 6.5) and Discus (86′ 7) and is headed to the District Championships next week. Good luck Garrison!
Iselin is dedicated, decisive, and determined! She had a fantastic game against Lake Washington Girls’ Middle School and contributed significantly to both our scores and our Ds. She plays with great tenacity, while at the same time demonstrating strong sportsmanship. Well done, Iselin!
Sydney set a new PR and school record in the 1600m (one mile) last Friday despite her shoe laces coming undone and almost having to race it “Harvard-style” (https://www.runnersworld.com/news/a26558486/harvard-runner-loses-shoe-wins-race/). However, yesterday in the ECL Championships, she beat her time the previous Friday and set a new PR and EPS record! Congratulations Sydney!
