Core Academic Program

English:

History: Trimester courses are offered in a range of social sciences. In 2008-2009 they are Democratic Theories and Civic Practices; International Relations; and Jurisprudence- The History of Legal Precedent in the United States.

Fine and Performing Arts: In addition to taking numerous visual and performance arts classes, students may apprentice in a local arts organization.

Mathematics: Pre-Calculus, Calculus, or Advanced Mathematics Topics

Physical Education

Science: Advanced Physics and/or an upper level Environmental Science.

Spanish: Spanish IV, Advanced Spanish Language or Advanced Spanish Literature.

Academic Electives: Trimester Electives such as Writer's Workshops in a variety of topics, Economics and the Environment, Media Literacy and Modern Mythology in American Film. Additionally, seniors may propose Independent Study Courses of their interest and design.

Impact Project

In our Senior Synthesis Program 12th graders will design their own impact project. Students plan a project individually and of their own choosing. The objective of the Senior Synthesis is for each student to brings together interests, skills, and talents honed during the three previous years, resulting in a seminal experience that has an impact on the student and on those he or she touches.
