4/24/2009 - "Little Shop of Horrors" Set to Open!

You are invited to see our Fine and Performing Arts Department in action, as a cast and crew of over 40 students perform "Little Shop of Horrors."

“Little Shop of Horrors” is a musical comedy that opened off-Broadway, and became a bit of a cult hit that eventually moved to Broadway. It is a dark comedy with a bit of an urban edge, and it satirizes many things: science fiction, ‘B’ movies, musical comedy itself, and even the Faust legend. It will delight all ages, but students younger than 5th grade might find some of the scenes with the larger-than-life star—a man-eating plant bent on ruling the world—a bit scary. “Little Shop of Horrors” has an important question at its core—do the ends justify the means?”
