Alek Edmonds

Technical Theatre Specialist

B.A., The Evergreen State College

Alek grew up in the Pacific Northwest and spent time in his youth recording bands with a cassette eight track. After working in the tech sector at companies such as Amazon, Warnaco, Counterpoint Systems, and Mackie Designs, he owned and operated two recording studios in the greater Los Angeles area.  After some success running recording studios, Alek obtained a position at Paramount Recording Studios. While at Paramount he worked on many Grammy award-winning albums, major movie studio theatrical releases, and AAA video game titles. In 2010, Alek relocated to Seattle to work for Cornish College of the Arts as the Technical Director for the music school. At Cornish, he refurbished the school’s recording studio, digital media lab, and taught a number of classes for the undergraduate, and summer programs. Alek was also part of a production team that produced the Cornish Presents series, working with today’s top acts in the contemporary jazz scene.  Alek is excited to bring a unique combination of tech industry and media experience to the next generation of leaders and innovators here at EPS.
