Randy has had many roles at Eastside Prep.  He began as a parent of EPS students (his two daughters are now alumni) and then became a member of the Board of Trustees.  Randy now teaches math courses to EPS Middle School students.  Mathematics Education and Educational Technology have been the focus of Randy’s career.  He has taught middle school and high school mathematics and computer science, worked in school administration as a Principal and District Supervisor, led the software development arm of The McGraw-Hill School Publishing division, and supported publishers’ transition to digital publishing while at the education group at Intel.  Randy looks forward to working with EPS students to help build an appreciation for the language of mathematics as well as an understanding of its practical application to real-world problem solving.

Outside of the classroom, Randy enjoys hiking and biking in the beautiful Seattle area, traveling and learning about other cultures, all kinds of music, theater and is an avid sports fan.
