Our fifth grade gives us the opportunity to accept students who are ready earlier in their educational career for the kind of learning opportunities we provide. With a focus on social, organizational, and life skills, the students who choose to begin their Middle School education here in fifth grade will form a strong foundation for the hands-on inquiry, problem-solving and critical thinking that form the backbone of our educational program. The fifth grade program is structured as a “bridge” program, with the majority of classes taught in the 5^th grade complex, coupled with many opportunities to engage in the broader Middle School. Areas of study will be tightly integrated and students will be introduced to important thinking skills that are essential to future academic success.
