Join us for an unforgettable 7-day, 6-night sea kayaking expedition along the breathtaking Baja coast! This immersive kayaking adventure promises incredible sights as we: paddle through the crystal-clear waters of the Sea of Cortez, discover hidden coves, snorkel with colorful fish, and camp on secluded beaches beneath the stars. Throughout our journey, we’ll spend 5 nights camping on pristine, deserted shores. And we’ll explore diverse marine ecosystems both through paddling and snorkeling.
Together, we’ll share in various expedition roles, from navigation and cooking to camp setup and cleanup, fostering a sense of teamwork and camaraderie. Our adventure culminates with an evening in Loreto, where you’ll enjoy a restful night in a comfortable bed before returning home on Saturday, April 12th.
Itinerary
Sunday 4/6: SeaTac Airport – Alaska Check-in for Flight AS 797
- Start: SeaTac Airport
- Finish/Sleep: Starting Beach Campsite (Night 1 in tents)
- Activities: Flight SEA-LAX (arrive by 5:00 AM), LAX-LTO, Shuttle: LTO to Loreto, Introductions to guides, gear, safety, and expectations
- Meals:
- Breakfast: SEA Airport
- Lunch: LAX Airport
- Dinner: Camping
Monday 4/7 – Friday 4/11: Starting Beach Campsite – then progress along Sea of Cortez changing locations daily
- Finish/Sleep: Different campsites in Bahia de Loreto National Marine Park (Nights 2-5 in tents)
- Activities: Sea kayak, snorkel, hike, camp, stargaze, cook, navigate, setup/pack up camp
- Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner (all camping)
Friday 4/11: Final Beach Campsite in Loreto Bay National Marine Park
- Finish/Sleep: Hotel in Loreto
- Activities: Finish paddling, check in at hotel, explore Loreto, reflect
- Meals:
- Breakfast & Lunch: Camping
- Dinner: Out in Loreto
Saturday 4/12: Loreto – Seattle
- Activities: Explore Loreto, Shuttle: Loreto to LTO, Flight: LTO-LAX @ 3:25 pm, LAX-SEA @ 6:45 pm, Arrive SEA at 9:41 pm
- Meals:
- Breakfast & Lunch: Loreto
- Dinner: LAX Airport
