Join us for an amazing adventure in the Galapagos Islands, off the coast of Ecuador, in South America. We will explore this unique ecological environment by land and sea, spending five nights on Santa Cruz Island and two nights on Isabela Island (plus an additional night in Quito when we arrive in Ecuador).
Highlights of the trip include visiting the Charles Darwin Research Station, snorkeling among marine animals, and hiking to the rim of the Sierra Negra Volcano. Naturalists will join our group throughout the trip to deepen our understanding of the history and significance of the islands. We will be very active, so participants should be comfortable walking through various terrains, snorkeling in salt water, and being outdoors in sun and salty spray for extended periods. A basic swim test is also required to join this exploration at the equator!
