Are you ready to join forces with your classmates for a transformative week of service, learning, and local community impact. This week-long, unique volunteer experience offers a deep dive into the non-profit sector, including conversations with Executive Directors and multiple hands-on projects.
The second half of the week will entail a powerful 3-day house-building project with Habitat for Humanity. Whether you’re passionate about social change, curious about non-profit operations, or eager to make a tangible difference in this community, this program is designed to inspire and empower.
- Students and families should be aware that this experience includes:
-
- Active, hands-on service work that may involve physical labor such as lifting, carrying, painting, or light construction tasks
-
- Collaboration with local nonprofit organizations and community members, requiring teamwork, communication, and respect
-
- Engagement with social and economic issues related to housing, inequality, and community development
-
- Variable weather conditions during outdoor workdays
