Post Masters Certificate, Mental Health Counseling, Medaille College; M.A., School Counseling, New York University; B.A., Forensic Psychology, John Jay College
Before joining the EPS community, Tamera worked as a School Counselor in New Jersey and a Mental Health Counselor in New York. She worked at a middle school for three years, providing individual and group counseling as well as high school placement. She dedicated herself fully to helping students reach their full potential—socially, emotionally, and academically. As a Mental Health Counselor, she provided therapeutic services to adults as well as children and values her time spent with both populations as she refined her counseling process. Tamera holds a master’s degree from New York University in School Counseling and a post-graduate certificate in Mental Health Counseling.
Tamera is excited to join the EPS community to further reinforce the counseling department’s plan of helping students achieve their goals. She knows that her knowledge and clinical experience will be of great value.
Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Tamera is now looking to call Washington her new home. In her free time, she loves to travel, considers herself a movie guru, and loves eating froyo all year round.
