October Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences

In mid-October, we will hold Student-Parent-Teacher Conferences. Now that we have conducted a round of Advisor Conferences, we want to ensure that the relationships between faculty and parents are cultivated. To do this, we started with Back-to-School Night, will continue with Fall Harvest on October 2, and then conduct conferences in mid-October.

Conferences will take place the week of October 19. Like we did with Advisor Conferences, parents/guardians will sign-up through Bookings for an eight-minute check-in (this provided a two-minute break between check-ins). It is not required, nor expected, to meet with every single teacher. Conferences are designed to address any concerns about performance in order to chart a course for the rest of Fall Trimester.

Conferences can occur on any day of this week. However, to facilitate the large number of these conferences, we have made the following schedule adjustments:

  • Wednesday, October 21: half-day classes 8:30 AM to 11:15 AM; Designated Conference Time from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, October 22: half-day classes 8:30 AM to 11:15 AM; Designated Conference Time from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Friday, October 23: Conferences from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

This will necessitate these special class schedules in order to maintain the same class rotations:
