Topic
Coffee House reboot This event has lost its original intention. Ginger Ellingson would like to re-develop the event. She’s not sure what this looks like. Group does not need to do anything at this time. She will bring the topic back to the group later in the year, and possibly schedule future Coffee Houses well in advance. Middle Band Calendar 25-26 (Clubs/Affinity groups/Independent Curriculum Verity Sayles discussed how to balance clubs/affinity groups time for next school year. She would like to use Wednesday sessions before/after seminars. Right now, several of those are reserved for Independent Studies (info sessions, proposals). This only captures some 11th and 12th graders. Nothing else has been scheduled opposite those sessions. An exception is the 9th grade, which holds advisory two times a week (Tuesday AND Wednesday) because 9th graders do not have seminars on Wednesdays. The group discussed options. Verity Sayles will review middle band calendar for current divisions of time for clubs/affinity/IS and report back to the group. Also, SLT will discuss middle band in January. Some wondered what it would look like if we shave 5 minutes off each passing period and added that to middle band. |
