Amy is a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Microsoft in Redmond, currently overseeing Microsoft’s U.S. and global employment law, immigration, and employment compliance teams. Her work involves advising Human Resources on a range of legal topics, including diversity and inclusion, hiring and retention, training and professional development, compensation and benefits and employee sentiment. She is the Microsoft executive sponsor for the Street Law legal diversity pipeline and mentor for women in law. She is a member of the American Employment Law Council, the American Bar Association Equal Employment Opportunity committee, and the Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) Board of Directors.  Prior to Microsoft, Amy was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine in Seattle with a practice that focused on employment law in the technology and hospitality sectors. Originally from the east coast, Amy grew up in Delaware, graduating from Princeton University for undergraduate and the University of Virginia for law school.  Amy and her husband Jesse moved to the Puget Sound in 2001 and live with their two sons Miles (Eastside Prep class of 2025) and Jack (Eastside Prep class of 2027) in the Queen Anne neighborhood in Seattle. In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking and entertaining, reading, Peloton and puzzles and is delighted to be a member of the Eastside Prep board.
