Student Life at Eastside Prep

EPS was founded on the principle that students should have both a rich and rigorous academic experience and a safe and rewarding social and emotional experience at school. Student Life at EPS is about bringing all aspects of the student experience together to create a safe, supportive, and healthy environment for students to learn and grow as members of a caring community.

Students at Eastside Preparatory School share diverse interests, an eagerness to try new things, and a commitment to maintaining a kind and welcoming community for all. With an array of student clubs and activities, there is truly something for everyone—whether seriously pursuing an interest or trying something for the very first time. The Education Beyond the Classroom (EBC) program, which includes Fall Orientation, Service Learning, and a week of experiential trips and projects each spring, ensures that each student has ample opportunities to collaborate, explore, and experience the world beyond the four walls of EPS and the regular school schedule.

An important component of Student Life at Eastside Prep is the Student Well-Being program, which includes social-emotional lessons in advisories, wellness resources, equity and diversity work, and, most importantly, the promotion of genuine human connections. By cultivating an environment that supports students’ social, emotional, and physical well-being, EPS ensures that students feel safe and supported, which allows them to take healthy risks academically and socially.
