Since joining Eastside Prep in 2007, Elin has dedicated her work to helping students explore who they are as learners and community members. She brings a student-centered approach to every role she takes on—whether she’s teaching Science or Spanish, guiding students in the Library, or coordinating and leading adventurous experiences that extend learning far beyond the classroom.

Elin believes that kids thrive when they are curious, active, and connected. She greatly enjoys involving students in environmental and outdoor education, as well as coaching the middle school girls’ Ultimate and soccer teams—all ways she encourages learners to build confidence, collaborate, and discover joy in new challenges.

I value the opportunity to meet students where they are in their learning journey—whether we are in the science lab, on the sports field, in the woods, or across the world on an EBC Trip. From snorkeling in the Galápagos Islands to visiting temples in Sri Lanka, learning together in these shared experiences allows me to connect with the students on a different level. I get to know them as whole people—with stories, interests, and strengths outside of school.

At the heart of Elin’s work is the vibrant EPS community that she helps cultivate every day—one where students feel known, supported, and empowered to grow.
