As Eastside Prep’s counseling department grows, Michelle will be working with her co-counselor to continue to provide support to both the middle and upper school students. Michelle has dedicated her career to working with children and adolescents in the education setting. Prior to EPS, Michelle worked as a Clinical Counselor in San Diego for two years. She also worked as a Behavioral Health Specialist in Hawaii for six years, providing counseling support and services to students with behaviors that impacted their academic, social, and emotional growth. In addition to her employment, Michelle completed all of the post-graduate requirements and exams to obtain her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in both the states of Hawaii and California.
Michelle is eager to bring her experience and clinical knowledge to further reinforce the enhancement of student social and emotional wellness at EPS.
Originally from the North Shore of Oahu, Michelle is looking forward to calling Washington her new home. In her free time, Michelle enjoys most anything water related, hiking, iced lattes, and checking off destinations on her ever-growing travel list.
