In 2014 Paul joined the Senior Leadership Team as the Director of Student Life responsible for several student-centered programs including Education Beyond the Classroom, Service Learning, EPSummer, as well as the social activities and clubs that make EPS so dynamic. In 2016 Paul became the Dean of Students and worked to ensure that every student was seen and celebrated as he worked to build and maintain a nurturing community of mutual respect, trust, and kindness. Now serving as Director of Student Well-Being, Paul continues to work to build a community that fosters students’ social, emotional, and physical health and well-being, and to support the Mission and Vision of the School.
Prior to coming to EPS, Paul spent two years teaching history in Hawaii, and one year teaching English in Madrid, Spain. Paul has always been committed to service both locally and globally, and to that end he has volunteered in Prasat, Thailand, worked as a humanitarian in Mexico, served in Washington State Search and Rescue, coached Little League, mentored numerous young people, and served on the boards of non-profit educational organizations and as a city parks and recreation commissioner. Paul is the father of four, and has many hobbies including writing and pottery.
