Habib is a Professor and Vice Chair of Clinical Operations at the University of Washington (UW) School of Medicine, Department of Radiology. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania (2001) and received his medical degree from the University of Michigan (2005). He then moved to the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Zarry Tavakkol, MD, where they both completed post-graduate training at UW. Habib is very active in breast cancer research with leadership positions on both national and local levels. He is also an experienced educator of medical students, residents, fellows, and practicing radiologists, recently serving as the co-director of the American College of Radiology Breast MRI Workshop. He is also involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the UW Department of Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America. Habib and Zarry live with their three boys, Nima (EPS Class of 2026), Kian (EPS Class of 2029), and Liam (currently at The Little School).
