Ian Corey-Boulet

Learning Support Specialist

Also: US Advisor
M.A., English Literature, University of Washington; B.A., English and Comparative Literature, Columbia University

Ian joins Eastside Prep as a Learning Specialist, and he is looking forward to helping EPS students find new ways to succeed in their classes and grow as learners. He has over a decade of experience in education, most recently at Annie Wright Schools in Tacoma, where he served as a learning specialist, English teacher, and dorm parent. (He previously taught at the Open Window School, the University of Washington, and the Northwest School.) As a teacher, Ian prizes differentiation and student-centered learning, so he is excited to be working in the Guided Study Hall program and getting to know students one-on-one. He hopes to be a resource for anyone who wants to get a better sense of their own learning style, try out new approaches to doing academic work, and ultimately make the experience of school less stressful and more fun. Outside of school, Ian is an avid runner, reader, and concertgoer. Although he is a proud Tacoma native, he is thrilled to be back in the Seattle area.
