Kim Eng

Director of Athletics

M.A., Sport and Athletic Administration, Gonzaga University; B.S., Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Washington

For the past eighteen years, Kim has worked as Director of High School Athletics for an independent school in Bellevue. During her tenure, she worked hard to increase athletic participation, raise the level of competitive excellence and maintain an exceptional coaching staff. In addition, Kim coached the Varsity Volleyball team from 1998-2010, winning Coach of the Year honors five times.

Kim is heavily involved with District 2 and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA), previously serving on the SeaKing District 2 Board, the SeaKing District 2 Eligibility Committee and the WIAA Post Season Committee. She currently serves as the Emerald City League President in addition to being on the WIAA State RPI committee.

A lifelong competitive athlete in multiple sports, Kim is a tireless champion of sportsmanship and in promoting an athletic philosophy based on accessibility and participation, an appreciation for health and fitness, the importance of winning and losing gracefully, and the building of community through school pride and school spirit.  Living in Issaquah with her husband Matt, her ten-year-old son Dane and their bearded dragon lizard, Bob, she’s excited to join EPS and help the sports program reach its maximum potential!
