Tadas Kisielius

Trustee

Tadas is the Managing Partner of the Seattle office of Van Ness Feldman, LLP.  In his legal practice, Tadas helps public- and private-sector clients secure and defend state and federal environmental permits and local land use approvals for complex or controversial development projects throughout the state, including infrastructure, energy, and marine terminal projects. Tadas provides strategic counsel at the permitting stage, working with the client, consultants, and regulators on permit applications and environmental review conducted by local and state permitting authorities.  Tadas also represents cities, counties and port districts in drafting, adopting and defending regulations required by various state laws.  He appears on behalf of clients at all levels of appeal, including state and federal courts and in administrative adjudicative proceedings.  Tadas is originally from the Midwest.  He grew up in the Chicago area, received his BA from the University of Michigan, and obtained his JD from Northwestern University School of Law.  Tadas and his wife Laura moved to Seattle in 2003 where they have raised their two sons Tomas (currently at Georgetown University) and Feliks (Eastside Prep class of 2024).  Prior to his career in the law, Tadas was a musician.  He still manages to find time to play, write and record music. He also enjoys long distance cycling, camping and backpacking with his family.  He is honored to serve as a Trustee for Eastside Prep.
