Alicia Moreno Gonzalez, PhD

Alicia is a bioengineer by training; received her Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington and has worked as a scientist and engineer at various biotech and medical device companies. She is currently working at Philips Healthcare as a Clinical Development Scientist helping develop products and solutions for neuroclinical care.

She is originally from Mexico, where she earned a B.S. in Physics Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. While at college, she studied abroad for a year at The Ohio State University. That’s where she first learned about biomedical research. Since then, her passion has been to develop medical devices and therapies that can impact patient’s lives.  

Alicia and her husband Carlos met in college and moved to the Seattle area in 2000. That’s when she discovered skiing for the first time and fell in love with the activity. They have two sons at Eastside Prep, Carlos (Class of 2024) and Andres (Class of 2027).
