From High Tea to the Highlands: London and Edinburgh (10th–12th)

Join us for a tale of two cities as we explore London, England, and Edinburgh, Scotland! This trip to the United Kingdom will focus on historical sites, literary arts, and British and Scottish culture. We will spend several days in London exploring this modern city, enjoying British cuisine, and seeing sights such as The British Museum, National Gallery, The Globe Theater, and the Tate Modern. We’ll clap at a theater in the West End and cheer on a Premier League game. Then we will experience a hallmark of European travel by taking a train from London through the English countryside to Scotland. In Edinburgh, we will explore medieval architecture, walk along the ancient cobblestone streets of the Royal Mile, and pay a visit to St. Andrews University. Students should be prepared for a lot of walking as we take a whirlwind tour of two of the greatest cities in the United Kingdom.

| Monday, April 1st | · Museum Day! Students pick two museums to visit in small groups with chaperones. Options include:
o V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum) o The British Museum o Churchill War Rooms o Tate Modern o The Science Museum o The Natural History Museum · A ride on the London Eye (weather pending) to see the cityscape (or a visit to Westminster Abbey) · Early dinner in the West End & a play in the evening! |
