Dan began providing continuity at EPS as a full time substitute teacher in the 2015-2016 school year.  Dan’s background is varied – he’s been a teacher-naturalist at a science camp and worked on an archaeological dig in Athens before teaching at an independent school in the Bay Area for twelve years.

Dan has a thing for dead languages, especially ancient Greek and Latin, which he’s been studying since he was knee high to a centurion. He once spent a summer in Rome reading really old texts with the Pope’s Latinist. In his free time he enjoys riding bikes, messing around in the garage, and building stuff with his son.

“I was looking for a new adventure when I found Eastside Prep. The relative newness of the school, its size, and values attracted me.”
