INSIGHT: EBC Week

By Paul Hagen, Director of Student Well-Being

EBC Week is finally here and we couldn’t be more thrilled! After months of preparation and anticipation, our students, faculty and staff are all set to embark on week-long experiences and journeys of exploration, discovery, adventure, and learning. This week offers an unparalleled opportunity for our students to embody our school’s Mission and Vision – to think critically, act responsibly, lead compassionately, innovate wisely, and contribute positively as we make the world a better place.

At the heart of EBC Week is the belief that travel is transformative and that learning should extend beyond the classroom walls. Our students will be engaging in immersive, hands-on experiences that simply cannot be replicated within the regular school setting. From connecting with indigenous nations in the Yukon to exploring the tech scene in the Bay Area, from hiking the magical landscape of New Zealand to confronting complicated history in Charleston, from working on a restoration project in Puerto Rico to getting an inside look at U.S. government in Washington D.C., our students will be expanding their horizons and gaining invaluable skills and perspectives.

As we launch this exciting week, we encourage our students to seize this exceptional opportunity and make the most of it. We are confident that EBC Week will be a memorable experience that will have a profound and lasting impact on students. We wish them all the very best as they begin their EBC trips and look forward to hearing about their incredible experiences when they return. Have a fantastic EBC Week!
