INSIGHT: Welcoming the New School Year

By Sam Uzwack, Head of School

Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! it’s been wonderful to see our students beginning to return to campus, and we are excited to kick the year off next Wednesday. With each new year comes new routines, so be kind to yourself as the year begins. For the first two to three weeks, focus on the details and find a rhythm. Remember…it takes time.

This year, our theme is ENGAGEMENT. Our community is predicated on the idea that we are all contributing members of EPS, for when teachers and parents/guardians are working in partnership, that’s when students can truly be their best selves. There are many opportunities to engage in the school community in the coming weeks, including:

  • Grade-Level Head’s Tables
  • Back-to-School Night
  • Fall Harvest
  • Grade-Level Coffees

There will be many more opportunities along the way, so be sure to read this Friday email carefully each week. Seriously ?.We work hard to include as much information as possible in one place, so please take the time to read on. At the same time, please never hesitate to reach out with any questions or clarifications.

The start of the school year is a magical time, and we look forward to welcoming back all of our students next Wednesday. Please be sure to arrive by 8:15 AM, so students and faculty/staff can all be on time to our All-School Convocation!

Warmly,
Sam
