Rainier Scholars
Eastside Prep is proud to partner with Rainier Scholars. The program was founded in 2000 on the belief that all students deserve an equal opportunity to excel academically and become thriving community and workplace leaders. Rainer Scholars supports students most underrepresented on college campuses who have the greatest number of barriers to achieving a college degree.
Please visit the Rainier Scholars website to learn more about their inspiring story.
Applying for EPS
Eastside Prep uses the Ravenna online admissions application as do many other Seattle area independent schools. On Ravenna, you’ll see the list of materials that we ask to be submitted and the events we ask for your family to attend. You will find a helpful Admissions checklist in the EPS – An Introduction PDF.
Financial Aid
Our financial aid application is done in a separate system from our admissions application, yet these two processes happen at the same time. Eastside Prep uses a system called Clarity to collect your household financial information and help us assess your level of financial need. The information you provide is supported by copies of your tax documents; these are brought over electronically from the IRS when you provide authorization for the Clarity application to obtain these documents from the IRS.
We will communicate the amount of aid we can provide your student, along with their acceptance to Eastside Prep. Financial aid recipients will receive an award that will be applied to all EPS educational expenses: tuition, books, EPS laptop purchase, school trips, lunch, and transportation. An application for financial aid is completed each year that a student attends Eastside Prep.
For more information on tuition and financial aid, including an estimate of the grant amount you can expect to qualify for, please visit our Financial Aid page.
Transportation
As mentioned above, Eastside Prep awards financial aid packages with a grant award applied to not just tuition but also other educational expenses, such as bus transportation. We offer a bus route in the morning and then a return trip option right after school. Eastside Prep offers three bus routes for our students:
- Seattle-Renton Route stops near the Montlake Bridge, in the Garfield area, Rainier Beach, and near Renton High School.
- I-90 Route stops on Mercer Island, in Lakemont, and in the Issaquah Highlands.
- I-405 Route starting in Lynnwood, stopping in Canyon Park (Bothell), then Totem Lake, and finally, near Sixty Acres Park in Redmond.
Please visit our Transportation page for more information on transportation options to and from EPS campus.
