Admissions Events

We offer several different events within this category, and attendance at one of any of these events will satisfy the requirement for students applying to EPS in the current year. We ask that families choose just one information event to attend so that all families will have an opportunity to get to know EPS. If you are looking ahead for a future application year, we recommend registering for a virtual Get to Know EPS event via Ravenna Hub and completing either a virtual tour online or a self-guided tour in person.

Preview Events are in-person visits to our campus on Saturdays, with morning and afternoon sessions available. Applying students will participate in sample classes while parents and guardians hear from a Q&A panel. All family members will have the opportunity to either join a guided tour of our campus or navigate campus independently. Preview events run for approximately two (2) hours. (Must be in applied status in Ravenna in register and attend. If the $75 application fee is a hardship, please use waiver code PSIS2024.)

Virtual “Get to Know EPS” Events are weeknight events held via Zoom with EPS Admissions staff, current students, and other community members. We’ll share information about EPS and our admissions process, and then we’ll open the meeting up for your questions!

Virtual events are tailored towards families outside of the local area or those who cannot join us in person. If your student attended an in-person event, but you were unable to join them and want to learn more about EPS, this is a great opportunity to do so.

This is a great opportunity for students as well as parents and guardians to ask anything you want to know about EPS and to get to know our school and community. “Get to Know EPS” events last about an hour.

Guided Campus Tours are after-school weekday events held in-person on our EPS campus. Admissions staff will show you around our campus, joined by other members of our school community to share more about EPS and answer your questions during this hour-long guided tour.

We offer after-school tours during the week for families who are in the local area but are unable to join us for a Saturday Preview due to other commitments or obligations.

The Parent/Guardian Interview and Student Online Assessment allow us to get to know your family.

Parent/Guardian Interview This is an excellent opportunity to learn about applicants through the parent/guardian lens. This will also allow parents and guardians to ask family-specific questions outside of the group setting during admissions events.

If you have more than one student applying to Eastside Prep, please register for an opening and email the date and time to the Admissions Office at admissions@eastsideprep.org, and we will schedule a more extended interview.

Student Online Assessment: Interview and Writing Samples are a way to get to know each student as an individual – their personalities, interests, and the unique way that they think. Through recorded video interview responses, students can express these in their own words, providing authentic insight for our admissions committee into their identities and personalities. Students will also respond to questions in writing. By completing this online assessment, members of our admissions committee get to hear from your student directly, in their own words.

Beginning on October 23, 2023, all Ravenna accounts in “applied” status will receive an email with a link to register with our online assessment platform. After that time, we will email links out on a weekly basis as new applicants create accounts.

These events are ways to learn more about EPS but are not required in the application process.

Admissions Office Hours are an opportunity to drop into this virtual event to ask questions to an Admission Team Member or listen to others’ questions. You can come and go as you need or want. Attend Office Hours as many times as you need or want. Registration is not required for this event.

Financial Aid Q&A session is an opportunity to anonymously hear about the FA process from our Director of Finance and Operations, Casey Otley, and Director of Enrollment Management, Cheryl Schenk, During this session, they will walk you through the FA application process, and answer any questions you may have. We hope every family interested in an Eastside Prep education will know:

• Our goal: to make EPS affordable for every enrolled family.
• We are committed to meeting the demonstrated financial need of all enrolled EPS families for both tuition and other costs of attending school.
• We admit students to Eastside Prep because of who they are, not because of their family’s ability to pay tuition.
